Abstract Expressions In Uncharted Territory Opens At The Center For Contemporary Arts

A solo exhibition of mixed media artworks by Elizabeth Bogard opens this Thursday, Dec. 17, at The Center for Contemporary Arts with a Virtual Reception from 5 to 7 pm.

Titled “Abstract Expressions in Uncharted Territory”, the 25 works represent a new direction for the artist whose body of work heretofore consisted of representational or figurative depictions.

In the mid-1940’s in New York City, a small group of artists sought a new means of expression using only the elements of art or “pure form”. Bogard hopes the artworks communicate a sensation or a feeling in a personally satisfying way.

This show hangs until Feb. 06, 2021, and can be viewed from 11 to 5, Tuesday through Saturday. Go to
www.center-arts.com to register for the Virtual Reception. For...
